Hermanus is a town located 120-kilometres outside of Cape Town and surrounded by indigenous fynbos, white sandy beaches and majestic mountainscapes. Hailed as the heart of the whale coast, Hermanus offers the best land-based whale watching in the world and is an annual highlight for nature enthusiasts to visit between the months of July and December, when Southern Right Whales play in the waters surrounding Hermanus.
